WCABP Membership

Membership in WCABP gets you a reduction in conference fees and any regional meeting fees, quarterly newsletters, reduced advertising rates in the newsletter and free classified advertising on the website, access to use the eBSE program, automatic membership to CABV and regular news and info shared to our members via email.

• WCABP is the only veterinary association dedicated to encouraging veterinary graduates to pursue a career that involves bovine practice.
• WCABP’s primary focus is to provide quality bovine CE to veterinarians in western Canada, which is achieved by hosting an Annual Conference each January. We take pride in attracting the best speakers possible to present on topics that cover beef, dairy, and practice management. Split beef and dairy sessions allow us to provide 22 hours of CE spread over a 3-day period. We have adopted a hybrid format for all our sessions, with virtual attendees being able to participate in the Q&A sessions. All sessions are also recorded for future viewing. Membership provides for a 30% discount in Conference registration, which makes the conference very affordable relative to other CE opportunities.
• Membership also includes a quarterly Newsletter, which members can advertise in for free. Our website includes extensive resource library of past conference sessions (audio and visual). For a nominal fee, WCABP membership also includes membership in the Canadian Association of Bovine Veterinarians, which is the voice of bovine practitioners from across Canada. WCABP not only supplies breeding soundness examination forms through WDDC, but it also has its only electronic version (eBSE) of the form, which has many advantages for archiving and retrieving BSE results.

AHTs and RVTs can join WCABP and receive benefits such as access to educational resources on our members only portal, member rates for attending annual conferences, networking opportunities with a community dedicated to veterinary excellent and one Ex Officio seat on the board.
